For A Time Such As This

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Est 4:14

Friday Night

Friday Night Message
August 20, 2010 Pastor Peter F. Paine

Saturday Night

Early in the service on Saturday evening, Pastor Thomas talked about how excited he was to hear the sermon that God had laid on Pastor Paine's heart. Throughout the week they had been talking about it in passing as they prepared for conference, and God was about to speak to the church through the General Pastor. No doubt about it, Saturday night's service would be a turning point in the history of our ministry.

You have probably navigated to this web page to hear that sermon's MP3 so you can share in the blessing. But, there is no sermon to be posted from Saturday night's service. Pastor Paine came to the pulpit to start one. As he stood and walked to the pulpit, the shouts of praise, people dancing in the altar, and gifts of tongues being manifest in the sanctuary made is almost impossible for him to be heard (even with the microphone). The Holy Spirit was moving in such a way that he said he could not interfere and instead gave his time for the praises to continue in the sanctuary.

During the song service, the altar filled with people kneeling, raising their hands, and speaking words of praise to God. The worship continued for hours with people dancing in the spirit all over the sanctuary, the gift of the Holy Ghost being poured out with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and lives truly being transformed.

Through God's presence in Norfolk, Virginia last night, lives were changed. New vision was cast directly from God to the hearts of His people, and his Holy Spirit did a work that words fall short to express. Saturday night certainly was a turning point for our ministry, and it was not because of the sermon (or lack thereof). It was a turning point because God has once again proven that He is real, He is alive, and He is right here in the midst of us.
